Luxury Travel Across Iceland ehf (“HófyVIP”) respects your privacy and handles personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Icelandic data protection law.
What we collect
When you book or contact us we collect the details you provide: name, email, phone number, pickup location, travel date/time, flight number (for transfers), passenger count and any notes. If you pay by card, payment is handled by our payment provider — we receive confirmation of payment but not your full card number.
Why we use it
- To arrange, confirm and deliver your booking.
- To contact you about your trip.
- To keep records required for accounting and tax.
- To handle enquiries sent through the contact form.
Legal basis
Performance of your booking (a contract), our legitimate interest in running the service, and compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to deliver the service: our assigned driver, our payment provider, and email/IT providers that host the booking. We do not sell your data. OTA bookings (e.g. Viator, GetYourGuide) come with the data those platforms pass to us.
Retention
We keep booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal/accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us at info@hofyvip.is. You may also lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd).
Cookies
The site uses minimal local storage to remember your language, theme and currency preferences. It does not use advertising trackers.
