Luxury Travel Across Iceland ehf (“HófyVIP”) respects your privacy and handles personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Icelandic data protection law.

What we collect

When you book or contact us we collect the details you provide: name, email, phone number, pickup location, travel date/time, flight number (for transfers), passenger count and any notes.

Card details are never collected by us. Card entry happens on our payment provider's own secure page (Rapyd/Valitor). We receive only a payment token and the outcome of a payment — never your card number, expiry date or CVV, which are not stored on our servers or in our database at any point.

When you accept the cancellation policy at booking we also record the time, your IP address, your browser user-agent and the exact policy text shown. This is kept as evidence of consent in case a charge is later disputed, on the basis of our legitimate interest in defending payment claims.

Why we use it

• To arrange, confirm and deliver your booking.
• To contact you about your trip.
• To keep records required for accounting and tax.
• To handle enquiries sent through the contact form.

Legal basis

Performance of your booking (a contract), our legitimate interest in running the service, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share data only as needed to deliver the service: our assigned driver, our payment provider, and email/IT providers that host the booking. We do not sell your data. OTA bookings (e.g. Viator, GetYourGuide) come with the data those platforms pass to us.

Retention

We keep booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal/accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectify anything inaccurate;
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten"), unless we must keep the record for accounting or to defend a legal claim;
• Restrict or object to processing;
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable form;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@hofyvip.is; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd, personuvernd.is).

Cookies

The site uses minimal local storage to remember your language, theme and currency preferences. It does not use advertising trackers.
